Thank you for supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as I race towards the ultimate finish line:
a world without cancer
. Via this web page you may make a gift towards Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund. We appreciate your kind generosity and thank you for making a difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families.
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is on track to conquering major forms of cancer within this decade. Home to many of the world's groundbreaking discoveries in cancer research and treatment, Dana-Farber is uniquely primed to transform this vision to a reality.
My wife of 31 years, Jane was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma Multiform Grade 4 in late 2016. She has received amazing care from the cancer team at Dana-Farber in Boston and Cape Cod Hospital. She is managing through this difficult diagnosis - and as of now - is stable and enjoying clean scans.
She has received amazing love and support from friends and family throughout these 18 months. She's a fighter. This is a very difficult kind of cancer, as it is relentless...I am hopeful that by bringing more awareness to this beast, we can raise money to continue the efforts of the great people at Dana-Farber to find a cure.
Jane has the best sense of humor of anyone I know. We still laugh every day. But it hasn't been easy....Jane also used to be an amazing runner but those days are behind us...so I am taking the baton from her to run the 7 mile Falmouth Road Race this year. I have been training hard climbing hills, sprints and distance. I'm now approaching 30lb weight loss! I ran a practice 10K in Chatham last weekend and ran 9:40s....my best yet....
Cancer strikes so many people, we all know of others in our network of family and friends; my friend and brother-in-law Stephen is a two-time survivor and my niece Sara a long-term survivor and now Jane's first cousin Laurel with a Glio. Please help the cancer community and donate any amount that you can....It all helps and means so much to us.
Thank you so much for your support.
Much love, Tony & Jane.
